Những lưu ý khi sử dụng ống luồn dây điện thép (STEEL CONDUIT- GI CONDUIT)

Trong công trình dân dụng cũng như công nghiệp, dây điện cần phải được bảo vệ trong điều kiện tốt nhất có thể. Do đó, việc cho ra đời ống thép luồn dây điện (steel conduit) dùng để luồn dây điện âm hoặc nổi là một giải pháp mới trong việc thi công và lắp đặt hệ thống điện nhẹ -M&E (PCCC/ Điện nhẹ/ CCTV)
Trong công trình dân dụng cũng như công nghiệp, dây điện cần phải được bảo vệ trong điều kiện tốt nhất có thể. Do đó, việc cho ra đời ống thép luồn dây điện (steel conduit) dùng để luồn dây điện âm hoặc nổi là một giải pháp mới trong việc thi công và lắp đặt hệ thống điện.
Trên thị trường hiện nay có các loại ống luồn phổ biến như sau: ống thép luồn dây điện (steel conduit), ống ruột gà luồn đàn hồi thép (Flexible metallic conduit- water-proof flexible conduit). Tùy theo cách lắp đặt mà chúng ta chọn một trong 2 loại ống thép luồn dây điện trên. Để sử dụng một cách an toàn và hiệu quả, bạn nên chú ý một số điểm sau:
Những điều nên làm:

- ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) thường được sử dụng để luồn dây điện âm tường, luồn trong sàn bêtông, nơi đòi hỏi chịu áp lực cao. Do vậy, bạn nên bố trí ống luồn sao cho không ảnh hưởng đến kết cấu bê tông của công trình.
- Nên sử dụng ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) đúng mục đích sử dụng như ống luồn dây điện chỉ sử dụng cho ngành điện, không nên sử dụng để dẫn nước, dẫn gas…
- Nên sử dụng ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) đúng tiêu chuẩn. Hiện nay có các nhãn hiệu ống luồn có uy tín và đúng chất lượng là CAT VAN LOI , SMARTUBE, PANASONIC… các sản phẩm ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) này được kiểm tra rất khắt khe về độ chịu va đập, độ chịu nén và khả năng chống cháy cao.
- Trước khi lắp đặt ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) , chúng ta cần tính toán chọn dây dẫn điện sao cho kích cỡ ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) phù hợp với số lượng dây dẫn luồn trong đó.
- Nên sử dụng các dụng cụ chuyên dụng để cắt ống, uốn cong hay ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) vào ống.
- Đối với dây điện lắp nổi thì nên dùng ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) được thiết kế rất thuận tiện cho việc lắp đặt và sửa chữa cũng như đảm bảo mỹ quan của kiến trúc.
- Lắp đặt ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) ở những nơi có nhiệt độ cho phép, phù hợp với tiêu chuẩn của ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) .
- Với hệ thống dây dẫn điện lắp đặt ở những nơi như trần la-phông, trần thạch cao, tường gạch ống… bạn nên sử dụng ống luồn đàn hồi vì loại này có trọng lượng nhẹ và mềm dẻo dễ uốn mọi hình dáng. Mặt khác ống ruột gà luồn đàn hồi thép (Flexible metallic conduit- water-proof flexible conduit) thường có giá rẻ hơn các loại ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) .

Những điều không nên:

- Không nên luồn dây điện quá chặt vào ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit). Vì như vậy bạn không thể luồn dây điện thêm vào khi có nhu cầu cải tạo hay nâng cấp hệ thống điện.
- Khi sửa chữa nhà, bạn tránh để máy khoan hay thiết bị đục bêtông làm bể ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) .
- Đối với ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) lắp nổi, không móc hoặc treo bất cứ vật gì nặng lên trên ống.
- ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) lắp nổi phải được lắp kín, vì các khoảng hở sẽ là nơi trú ẩn của côn trùng.
- Không sử dụng ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) kém chất lượng, dễ gây ra hư hỏng như bể, gãy, móp ống, độ chịu lực kém…
Việc sử dụng ống thép luồn dây điện (Steel conduit) âm tường hay lắp nổi, không những đảm bảo an toàn cho dây điện luồn bên trong đó mà còn tăng độ thẩm mỹ cho công trình và cho nhà bạn.

Electrical codes may restrict the length of a run of some types of flexible conduit.Flexible metallic conduit-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm) used in an underground parking facility.

Flexible Metallic Conduit (FMC, often informally called greenfield or flex)-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm) is made by the helical coiling of a self-interlocked ribbed strip of aluminum or steel, forming a hollow tube through which wires can be pulled. FMC-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm) is used primarily in dry areas where it would be impractical to install EMT or other non-flexible conduit, yet where metallic strength to protect conductors is still required. The flexible tubing does not maintain any permanent bend.FMC-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm) may be used as an equipment grounding conductor if specific provisions are met regarding the trade size and length of FMC -Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm)used in addition to the amperage of the circuits contained in the conduit. In general an equipment grounding conductor must be pulled through the FMC-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm) with an ampacity suitable to carry the fault current likely imposed on the largest circuit contained within the FMC-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm).

Liquid tight Flexible Metal Conduit (LFMC) -Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm)is a metallic flexible conduit covered by a waterproof plastic coating. The interior is similar to FMC.
Flexible Metallic Tubing (FMT)-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm) is not the same as Flexible Metallic Conduit (FMC)-Electrical flexible conduit/GI-galvanized flexible steel conduit (20mm, 25mm… 114mm) which is described in National Electrical Code (NEC) Article 348. FMT is a raceway, but not a conduit and is described in a separate NEC Article 360. It only comes in 1/2" & 3/4" trade sizes, whereas FMC is sized 1/2" ~ 4" trade sizes. NEC 360.2 describes it as: "A raceway that is circular in cross section, flexible, metallic and liquidtight without a nonmetallic jacket."
